A leading specialised ground engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a well-established consultancy delivering major infrastructure, commercial and residential developments across the South East.

You will work on a wide range of technically challenging projects, managing site investigations, mentoring junior engineers and providing geotechnical design input from feasibility through to construction.

The Role
  • Managing and supervising ground investigations across a variety of sectors
  • Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
  • Geotechnical design including foundations, retaining walls, slope stability and earthworks
  • Liaising directly with clients, contractors and regulators
  • Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers
  • Managing project budgets and ensuring delivery to programme
  • Assisting with business development and client relationship management
Requirements
  • Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or a related subject
  • Strong experience within a geotechnical consultancy environment
  • Experience producing interpretative reports and geotechnical assessments
  • Knowledge of Eurocode 7 and current UK standards
  • Ability to manage projects independently
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership preferred
