A leading specialised ground engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a well-established consultancy delivering major infrastructure, commercial and residential developments across the South East.
You will work on a wide range of technically challenging projects, managing site investigations, mentoring junior engineers and providing geotechnical design input from feasibility through to construction.
The Role- Managing and supervising ground investigations across a variety of sectors
- Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
- Geotechnical design including foundations, retaining walls, slope stability and earthworks
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors and regulators
- Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers
- Managing project budgets and ensuring delivery to programme
- Assisting with business development and client relationship management
- Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or a related subject
- Strong experience within a geotechnical consultancy environment
- Experience producing interpretative reports and geotechnical assessments
- Knowledge of Eurocode 7 and current UK standards
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Chartered status or working towards chartership preferred
