Graduate Architectural Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and highly respected property and planning consultancy in Shrewsbury.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support a range of architectural and planning projects, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle from initial concepts through to planning submissions and technical design.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or aspiring Architectural Technician to develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment that offers genuine long-term career progression.

The Role

  • Assist with the preparation of concept drawings, planning applications, and Building Regulations submissions.
  • Produce detailed architectural drawings and technical documentation using Auto CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and other design documentation.
  • Research building materials, products, sustainability practices, and relevant legislation.
  • Support the wider Planning team on a range of residential and commercial projects.

About You

  • A degree in Architectural Technology, or an HND/HNC.
  • Strong design, technical drawing, and problem-solving skills.
  • A good understanding of Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
