A specialist UK-based Environmental and Engineering Consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior or Principal Air Quality Consultant to join their well-established team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to lead compliance-based air quality projects, support client delivery, and mentor junior staff within a growing consultancy.
Essential Criteria:
- 5+ years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulatory roles.
- Strong knowledge of UK air quality legislation and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience with dispersion modelling tools (e.g., ADMS, AERMOD).
- Excellent project management, reporting, and client liaison skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree (BSc or MSc) in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (engineering background preferred).
- Experience delivering air quality assessments for permitting, planning, or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to support business development and mentor junior team members.
- Chartered or working toward chartership (IAQM/IES).
The Role:
As a Senior or Principal Consultant, you will take a lead role in the delivery of technically robust air quality and emissions assessments. This includes supporting regulatory compliance, dispersion modelling, reporting, and managing relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
