Senior Architectural Technologist

Location: London

Salary: £43-50,000

I’m searching for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join a growing team in London. This role offers the opportunity for a skilled technologist to take a leading role in the technical delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards, helping to translate design concepts into well coordinated, buildable solutions across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development and delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion.
  • Prepare and manage detailed technical drawing packages including plans, sections, elevations, schedules and construction details.
  • Coordinate technical information with the wider design team and external consultants.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants and contractors to support the successful delivery of projects.
  • Ensure technical documentation complies with current Building Regulations, housing standards and warranty provider requirements.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge to ensure designs are practical, compliant and effectively coordinated.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong technical capability developed through work on medium to large scale projects, ideally within residential or mixed use developments.
  • Excellent AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good understanding of Building Regulations.
  • Experience leading project teams and working collaboratively with clients, consultants and contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed working drawing packages and coordinate information with other consultants.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to take initiative while also working independently when required.
  • Extensive technical experience gained across projects typically valued at £5m or more.
  • Proven experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4, 5 and 6, particularly within the residential and commercial sectors.
  • Advanced technical detailing skills and a thorough understanding of modern construction methods.
