A leading UK-based Acoustic and Environmental Consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their established and growing team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced consultant to lead complex building and environmental acoustics projects across the South West and beyond, while playing a key role in mentoring junior staff and shaping project delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related subject.
  • 5+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy.
  • Strong technical background in environmental and/or building acoustics.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard modelling tools (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, Odeon).
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience:

  • Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., MIOA).
  • Knowledge of relevant UK standards (BS4142, BS8233, BB93, ProPG).
  • Experience managing projects and working directly with clients.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.

The Role:

As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality acoustic assessments across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, infrastructure, and planning. You'll support project management, technical delivery, and team development while working closely with both public and private sector clients.
