A leading UK-based Acoustic and Environmental Consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their established and growing team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced consultant to lead complex building and environmental acoustics projects across the South West and beyond, while playing a key role in mentoring junior staff and shaping project delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related subject.
- 5+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy.
- Strong technical background in environmental and/or building acoustics.
- Proficiency in industry-standard modelling tools (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, Odeon).
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience:
- Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., MIOA).
- Knowledge of relevant UK standards (BS4142, BS8233, BB93, ProPG).
- Experience managing projects and working directly with clients.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
The Role:
As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality acoustic assessments across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, infrastructure, and planning. You'll support project management, technical delivery, and team development while working closely with both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting noise and vibration monitoring and acoustic assessments.
- Producing detailed reports for planning and compliance.
- Managing client relationships and overseeing project delivery.
