Job Description CAD DesignerOverview Penguin Recruitment, on behalf of the company, is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Designer to join the team. This exciting role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in AutoCAD (and preferably BricsCAD), along with a solid understanding of the construction or mechanical/building services engineering industry. The role is predominantly office-based and requires daily attendance at the company's Reading office. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about design, who have a keen eye for detail and are looking to contribute to innovative projects. Creating and developing detailed designs using AutoCAD and, ideally, BricsCAD. Collaborating with project teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and client requirements. Conducting site visits as required (CSCS card required). Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless project execution. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Construction Industry Subcontractor or Mechanical/Building Services Engineering role (or similar). Proficiency in AutoCAD; Familiarity with noise control products, sheet metal fabrication, and architectural louvres is advantageous. A CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one). Designing and drafting technical drawings for various projects. Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met. Staying informed about industry trends and advancements in design software and techniques.
