Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established property and planning consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their team in Pulborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Town Planner to join a highly regarded consultancy, working across a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, rural, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
As a Town Planner, you will be involved in delivering planning projects from initial appraisal through to submission and determination. You will manage your own schemes while supporting senior team members on more complex developments, continuing to build your expertise as a Town Planner within a professional and supportive team.
- Managing planning applications and appeals
- Preparing high-quality planning reports and supporting documentation
- Undertaking site appraisals and feasibility assessments
- Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and key stakeholders
- Attending client meetings, site visits, and consultations
- Supporting senior team members on larger and more complex projects
- Assisting with project coordination and delivery
- Contributing to business development and client relationships
Qualifications:
- RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
- MRTPI qualified or working towards Chartership
- Experience within a planning consultancy or similar environment
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
