Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage multiple, complex town planning projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  2. Provide high-level strategic advice on planning policy, land use, and development opportunities.
  3. Prepare and submit planning applications, development frameworks, and masterplans.
  4. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to drive projects forward.
  5. Mentor and support junior staff, fostering their professional development.
  6. Conduct feasibility studies, site appraisals, and planning assessments.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning policy, legislation, and best practice.
  8. Contribute to business development and support in winning new projects.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  2. MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) status is essential.
  3. Significant experience in town planning, with a proven track record in managing large and complex projects.
  4. Deep understanding of planning legislation, policy, and the development process.
  5. Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience managing teams.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
