An exciting opportunity for an experienced geotechnical engineer looking for a new position in the ground investigation field has presented itself. This environmental engineering consultancy, based near Oxford, works on a large variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical projects and can provide the resources and support to expand your skills and develop your career.

The Engineering Geologist position offers:

The Engineering Geologist selected will have a range of responsibilities. This includes:

  • Overseeing site investigations.
  • Factual and interpretive report writing.
  • Completing Desktop studies.
  • Groundwater and gas monitoring.
  • Soil and rock logging.
  • Communicating with clients.
  • Mentoring junior team members.

To be considered for this Engineering Geologist position you should have a degree in a subject relevant to the position, for example geology, earth sciences, environmental engineering or geoscience. Experience in the geotechnical industry as an engineer or consultant is essential, as well as a Full UK Driving Licence, as travel to sites will be frequent. You must also have a full right to work in the UK and live commutable to Oxford. You should have good communication skills, an ability to work within a team and be/working towards chartership.
