Our client is a growing engineering consultancy based in Norwich, delivering high-quality structural design across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join a collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting schemes while enjoying a flexible hybrid working pattern.
The Structural Engineer role
- You will be involved in the structural design and delivery of residential and commercial buildings from concept through to construction.
- Working closely with architects, developers, and contractors, you will help deliver practical, efficient, and buildable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural design for residential and commercial building projects
- Producing calculations, reports, and drawings using industry software
- Collaborating with architects, clients, and other consultants
- Supporting projects through design stages and into construction
- Attending site visits and project meetings when required
About You
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in structural design of buildings (residential and/or commercial)
- Working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards
- Proficiency with structural design software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, or similar)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Working towards or already chartered (ICE/IStructE) is advantageous
