An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in Manchester. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of brownfield redevelopment, contaminated land and ground investigation projects across the North West and throughout the UK.

The successful candidate will join a growing and collaborative geo team with a strong project pipeline spanning residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure developments. This position offers excellent career progression, project ownership and the opportunity to mentor junior staff within a supportive environment.

The Role

  • Managing and delivering geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects from tender stage through to completion
  • Designing and supervising ground investigations
  • Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Ground Investigation Reports and Remediation Strategies
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators
  • Managing project budgets and timelines
  • Mentoring and supporting junior consultants and graduates
  • Assisting with business development and client relationship management

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
  • Previous consultancy experience within contaminated land and geoenvironmental engineering
  • Strong reporting and project management skills
  • Experience supervising site investigations and contractors
  • Good understanding of current UK contaminated land guidance and legislation
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageous
