An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established environmental and geotechnical consultancy based in Stockport. The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the UK, gaining hands-on experience in both site and office-based activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with Phase 1 Desk Studies and Preliminary Risk Assessments.
  • Supporting and supervising ground investigations.
  • Soil and groundwater sampling in accordance with current guidance and standards.
  • Logging soil and rock samples to relevant British Standards.
  • Assisting with the preparation of factual and interpretative reports.
  • Monitoring remediation and validation works.
  • Liaising with subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supporting senior engineers and consultants on project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Geoscience, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous placement or internship experience within the geoenvironmental sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
