We are recruiting on behalf of a respected consultancy for an experienced Civil Engineer in Gloucester, where you will take ownership of project delivery, quality management, and client relationships across a wide range of sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to play a leading role in the technical delivery of civil engineering schemes, while contributing to the ongoing growth of a highly regarded consultancy.
Working closely with the Civil Engineering Director, you will oversee the design, quality management, and commercial performance of projects in sectors such as residential housing, care homes, industrial developments, remediation, and renewable energy schemes. The role involves direct client engagement as well as technical design and reporting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of drainage, highway, and civil infrastructure designs to adoption standards.
- Manage project quality and accuracy, ensuring engineering outputs meet the highest standards.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 8 years’ post-graduate experience with responsibility for civil design projects.
- Chartered status is desirable, though applications from highly experienced non-chartered engineers are welcomed.
- Proficiency in MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing roles.
- Full UK driving licence required.
