The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects and overseeing operational activities, ensuring technical, commercial, operational and health & safety objectives are achieved. Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to both project delivery and wider business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage site investigation projects from inception through to completion
  • Undertake and oversee site activities where required
  • Ensure all health & safety, technical, operational and commercial objectives are met
  • Produce and review high-quality technical reports
  • Plan and manage project resources effectively
  • Identify and manage project changes and variations
  • Negotiate project variations where required
  • Prepare fee proposals and attend client meetings and presentations
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
  • Assist in developing staff training programmes and in-house capabilities
  • Support business growth and identify new partnership opportunities
  • Promote technical excellence, company culture, policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • BSc degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • MSc in a Geology or Geotechnical discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the site investigation industry
  • Excellent health & safety knowledge and awareness
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent IT and report writing skills
  • Proven success within a senior or leadership role
  • Ability to proactively manage projects and meet deadlines
