As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and efficient building services solutions. Developing 2D and 3D CAD layouts and visuals. Supporting full mechanical building services design requirements. Conducting building environmental modelling using industry-standard software. Undertaking dynamic thermal simulations and summertime overheating assessments. Reviewing low-carbon design solutions and performance specifications. Assisting in the development of technical design documentation. Collaborating with project installation teams, suppliers, and specialist subcontractors. Supporting commissioning activities and creating commissioning plans. Reviewing and checking designs produced by colleagues, consultants, and contractors. Providing technical support to construction teams to ensure compliance with design and legislative requirements. HNC, HND, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline. Previous experience in building services design within a consultancy or contracting environment. A sound understanding of mechanical building services. Proficiency in relevant CAD/design software.
