A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join a well-established ground engineering consultancy based in Leeds. This is an excellent role for a recent graduate looking to kick-start their career within a supportive and technically strong team, working across a wide range of projects.
The Role
You will be involved in all aspects of site investigation and geotechnical reporting, gaining hands-on experience both on site and in the office. Projects typically span residential, commercial and infrastructure developments, offering great variety and exposure early in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with and supervising ground investigations
- Logging soil and rock in accordance with current standards
- Collecting and managing site data, including sampling and in-situ testing
- Supporting the production of factual and interpretative reports
- Developing an understanding of site geology and ground conditions
- Liaising with engineers, contractors and clients
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering or a related field
- Strong interest in ground investigation and geotechnical work
- Good communication and report writing skills
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards)
- Enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn
