A well-established architectural practice based in Berkshire is seeking a Junior Architectural Technician to join its expanding team. Renowned for its strong design ethos and technical expertise, the practice works across a diverse portfolio including residential, education, heritage and conservation, as well as community and leisure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring technician to gain hands-on experience within a supportive and collaborative studio environment. The successful candidate will be involved in projects across all stages, from planning and technical design through to construction and completion.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of technical drawings and construction packages
  • Supporting planning and building regulations submissions
  • Coordinating design information with senior team members and external consultants
  • Helping to ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
  • Producing drawings using CAD and BIM software
  • Attending site visits as required to gain practical, on-site experience

The Ideal Candidate

  • Some experience within a UK architectural practice and/or a relevant qualification
  • A solid technical foundation with a strong desire to learn and develop
  • Experience using Revit or other BIM software is advantageous
  • A basic understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to professional development
