They are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to hit the ground running for their team in their Huddersfield studio.

Duties for the role of Senior Building Surveyor include:
- Undertaking and managing building surveys, condition surveys and technical due diligence
- Preparing high-quality technical reports, specifications and schedules of work
- Identifying building defects, establishing causes and recommending practical remedial solutions
- Providing professional advice to clients across a range of property types
- Managing refurbishment and improvement projects from inception through to completion
- Acting as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent where appropriate
- Preparing and reviewing specifications, tender documentation and contract documentation
- Managing contractors and consultants and monitoring quality, progress and costs
- Undertaking site inspections and reporting on construction progress
- Advising clients on planned maintenance, lifecycle issues and capital investment
- Supporting dilapidations, party wall and other specialist surveying instructions where required
Skills and experience for the role of Senior Building Surveyor:
- Relevant degree within building surveying
- Chartered or working towards MRICS chartership
- Significant post qualification experience as a Building Surveyor within a UK practice or consultancy
- Project manager experience within a previous role
- Healthcare and fire & safety experience is desirable
- Experience preparing specifications, schedules of work and technical reports
- Good knowledge of construction technology, building pathology and relevant legislation and regulations
- Experience of contract administration and project delivery
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
