Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join their growing team in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geoenvironmental professional looking for a varied role with strong technical and project management responsibilities.

The Role:

  • Managing and delivering geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects
  • Producing Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports
  • Planning and supervising ground investigations
  • Reviewing and interpreting ground investigation and laboratory data
  • Developing conceptual site models and assessing contamination risks
  • Supporting remediation strategies and validation
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators and other stakeholders
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
  • Supporting project management, budgets and programme delivery

The Candidate:

  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
  • Strong experience within geoenvironmental consultancy
  • Good understanding of contaminated land and UK environmental legislation
  • Experience with Phase 1/2 investigations and technical reporting
  • Ground investigation and site supervision experience
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ideally working towards or holding Chartered status with a relevant professional body
