My client, a specialist, UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate GIS Consultant to work from Reading. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in GIS and experience completing GIS Mapping using ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro. Candidates are required to live locally and have an understanding of cartography producing high quality maps, data management, python or script language experience or AutoCAD experience. This exciting opportunity will offer the chance to join a supportive team in Reading. You will have the opportunity to complete varied GIS mapping for various sectors spanning hydrology, transport, drainage and structural engineering for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Housing Developers. As a Graduate GIS Consultant you will be trained by an experienced team and supported to complete the following technical work including; GIS Mapping using ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro. Data capture using GNSS technology and robotic total station. Data analysis using AutoCAD and GIS. 2D and 3D survey drawings using AutoCAD. Preparing and writing reports. You will be trained by the specialist team and work from the office a few days a week.
