My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Consultant to join a supportive team based in central Cardiff for a fixed term contract. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Modelling or Hydraulic Modelling and ideally have a driving licence. You will be expected to have a keen interest in hydrology, hydrometry, GIS, hydraulic modelling and water quality. Candidates are required to have a strong background in numeracy (preferably a strong A level or GCSE in Mathematics or Science) and an interest in data sampling and analysis.
As a Graduate Consultant you will join a specialist flood risk team in Cardiff for a fixed term contract of 6 to 9 months:
- Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications
- Strategic Flood Risk Assessment for developers
- Flood Estimation using ReFH and Winfap
- Rainfall Analysis
- Hydrology, Hydrogeological and Environmental Chapters for EIAs
- Water Quality Assessments
- GIS Mapping
- Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications
- Site visits for water monitoring, hydrometry and peat surveys
