An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join a dynamic and growing team based in Hertfordshire, offering an excellent chance to start your career in geotechnical engineering. This role is ideal for recent graduates in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, applied geology, or civil engineering with a geotechnical focus. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in ground investigations, geotechnical & geo-environmental analysis, and client engagement, while contributing to a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.
The Graduate Engineering Geologist selected will :
- Supervising ground investigation activities on-site, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Carrying out groundwater & gas monitoring, borehole logging and trial pitting.
- Preparing interpretive reports, including geotechnical assessments and foundation designs.
- Conducting ground movement analyses and numerical modelling as required.
- Liaising with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
This Graduate Engineering Geologist role requires:
- A first or second degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Geoscience, or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
- Ideally have relevant ground investigation experience (graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
- Live in or near to Hertfordshire.
- Have a full right to work in the UK.
- Have a full UK driving licence.
- Experience in geotechnical assessments and numerical modelling is advantageous but not essential.
