This position is ideal for an experienced Chartered Geologist or Chartered Civil Engineer looking to take the next step into a senior leadership role within a technically focused and growing team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex geotechnical and rock engineering projects, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting the continued growth of the business. The role offers a strong pipeline of quarry and rock slope projects alongside excellent progression towards senior management and technical leadership.
The Role- Leading geotechnical and rock engineering projects from feasibility through to completion
- Providing technical input on quarry developments, slope stability, excavations, and rock mechanics assessments
- Managing ground investigations and geotechnical design packages
- Undertaking and reviewing geotechnical risk assessments and interpretative reports
- Client liaison and development of long-term relationships
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and engineering geologists
- Supporting business development and project tenders
- Conducting site visits and inspections across quarry and infrastructure projects
- Chartered Geologist (CGeol) or Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng)
- Strong background in geotechnical engineering and rock mechanics
- Experience working on quarry, mining, or large earthworks projects
- Excellent report writing and technical review skills
- Proven project management and client-facing experience
- Strong understanding of slope stability and rock mass behaviour
- Full UK driving licence
