Graduate Structural Engineer Edinburgh An established consulting engineering practice is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join its structural engineering team in Edinburgh.
This role would suit a graduate with a BEng or MEng in Civil and/or Structural Engineering and a strong interest in building structures.
Candidates should be Graduate or Student Members of the Institution of Structural Engineers, or actively working towards membership.
The Graduate Structural Engineer role; The successful candidate will be involved in: Undertaking structural design under the supervision of experienced engineers.
Assisting with the development and production of structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
Reviewing architectural drawings and developing an understanding of structural layouts and load paths.
Attending site inspections and project meetings where appropriate.
Assisting with surveys, inspections, and structural assessments.
Liaising with other members of the design team.
Developing knowledge of UK design codes, Building Standards, and construction practices.
