Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive ground investigations
  • Assisting with the planning and supervision of Phase 2 site investigations
  • Carrying out soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, and sampling activities
  • Supervising drilling rigs, excavation works, and subcontractors on site
  • Coordinating laboratory testing and interpreting geotechnical and environmental data
  • Assisting with geotechnical assessments including settlement and earthworks evaluations
  • Supporting remediation projects and validation works
  • Preparing technical reports including factual, interpretative, and remediation reports
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Ensuring all site activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety and environmental regulations

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience within a geoenvironmental or geotechnical consultancy environment
  • Good understanding of site investigations, contaminated land assessment, and remediation principles
  • Strong communication and technical report-writing skills
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work to project deadlines
  • A collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
  • Experience carrying out site work and interpreting investigation data
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
