Salary: £42-55,000 DOE

About the company: This award-winning architectural practice is seeking an Architect with a strong conservation focus and at least several + years’ post-Part 3 experience to join its Chipping Norton studio. Working on a diverse portfolio of listed buildings and historic structures, the successful candidate will lead projects across all RIBA stages, from feasibility and listed building consent through to technical delivery, contract administration and site inspection. The practice prides itself on its inclusive culture and commitment to supporting professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead conservation and heritage projects across RIBA Stages 0-6
  • Prepare planning and listed building consent applications
  • Produce heritage statements and technical information packages
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, and client teams
  • Undertake site inspections and oversee project delivery
  • Support contract administration and project management
  • Contribute to design reviews and mentor junior colleagues

Ideal Candidate:

  • ARB Registered Architect with several + years’ post-Part 3 experience
  • Strong background in listed buildings and conservation projects
  • Excellent technical and detailing skills, particularly in traditional construction
  • Good knowledge of heritage planning policy and conservation best practice
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong communication, organisational and project management skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable:

  • Conservation accreditation (AABC, RIBA CA or similar), or ambition to achieve it
  • Experience preparing heritage statements and condition surveys
  • Knowledge of NBS specification software
  • Experience of sustainable retrofit in historic buildings
