Our client is a growing structural engineering consultancy based in Cardiff, delivering a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, education, and industrial projects throughout Wales. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a talented and motivated Structural CAD Technician to join a friendly and collaborative team.

The Structural CAD Technician role:
- You will work closely with structural engineers and project teams to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings across a range of building structures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing structural drawings using AutoCAD
- Preparing GA drawings, detailing, and construction information
- Assisting engineers with drawing coordination and revisions
- Working on projects involving steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry structures
- Coordinating drawings with architects and external consultants
- Maintaining drawing standards and project documentation
- Supporting project delivery to agreed timescales
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working as a Structural CAD Technician within an engineering consultancy
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Good understanding of structural engineering drawings and detailing
- Experience working on building structures projects
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Revit would be beneficial but not essential
