The Role

As a Graduate Town Planner, you will assist in delivering planning work across various development projects, contributing to high-quality planning advice and support for clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications and pre-application enquiries
  • Assisting with drafting planning statements and supporting documentation
  • Conducting site appraisals and planning policy research
  • Liaising with local planning authorities, consultants, and clients
  • Supporting appeals and planning strategy work
  • Attending site visits, meetings, and committee hearings as required

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • RTPI membership or be working towards chartership
  • Some experience or placement experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of the UK planning system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An organised, proactive, and collaborative approach
