Principal Transport Planner
Location: Bristol
Salary: Β£50-60,000 (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity
A well-established transport planning and infrastructure design consultancy is seeking a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to support and lead development planning projects in the Bristol office. The consultancy works with developers, architects and local authorities, and has experience across a wide range of local authority areas and development sectors. Much of its work comes from repeat clients!
The Role
- Lead and support development planning projects from feasibility through to planning and, where required, appeal
- Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
- Advise clients on transport strategy, helping them maximise the value and deliverability of their schemes
- Liaise with planning authorities, highway authorities and other stakeholders
- Manage projects and budgets, and develop strong, lasting client relationships
- Contribute to business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities
The Candidate
- Degree in a relevant subject
- More than five years' experience in UK development planning
- Committed to working towards relevant chartership
- Strong technical judgement and clear, confident communication
- Proven ability to manage projects and client relationships
- Business development skills, with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities
- An established client base is welcomed but is not essential. The client is particularly keen to hear from candidates who can show a track record of winning work or developing new relationships.
