Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and efficient building services solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing 2D and 3D CAD layouts and visuals.
  • Designing mechanical building services, including heating, ventilation, cooling, and domestic systems.
  • Supporting building environmental modelling using industry-standard software.
  • Conducting dynamic thermal simulations and summertime overheating assessments.
  • Completing Part L calculations to ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting incoming utility applications.
  • Reviewing low-carbon design solutions and performance specifications.
  • Assisting with technical submissions and preparing design documentation.
  • Collaborating with project installation teams and specialist subcontractors.
  • Supporting commissioning activities and creating commissioning plans.
  • Reviewing designs produced by internal and external teams for accuracy and compliance.

Day-to-Day

Your daily activities will include:

Qualifications
