Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer - Drainage in Birmingham

Job Description Senior Civil Engineer Are you a Senior Civil Engineer looking for greater project ownership, varied development projects and the opportunity to influence how a growing civil engineering team develops? This Birmingham role combines hands-on design, project responsibility and genuine progression within an established multidisciplinary consultancy. A growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Birmingham team. You will work across commercial, education, healthcare, residential and leisure developments, including major multi-million-pound projects. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take responsibility for civil engineering design elements across multiple schemes, remaining technically involved while managing project delivery and building relationships with clients. Lead civil engineering design across development projects Deliver drainage, SuDS, highways and external infrastructure designs Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies Manage multiple projects and civil engineering design packages Produce and review designs using Civil 3D, PDS, Site 3D and AutoCAD Help develop technical standards and influence the continued growth of the civil engineering team Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Experience across drainage, SuDS and highways design Knowledge of MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Civil 3D, PDS or Site 3D Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies Strong project management and client-facing capability This Senior Civil Engineer role offers considerably more than simply delivering another package of designs. You will have the opportunity to influence a growing civil engineering function, work across varied projects and develop towards greater technical and management responsibility. The salary is £50,000 - £60,000, alongside flexible hybrid working, professional membership fees and structured support towards professional qualification.
