We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Ecologist to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at a CIEEM Registered Practice, with offices across the South of the UK. This full-time role is based in the Bath area!
Their team has extensive experience and expertise in conducting a variety of species surveys, including bats, badgers, otters, barn owls, dormice, reptiles, and botany. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your ecological knowledge and work on high-profile projects that make a real difference to the environment.

The Role Involves:
- Conducting a broad range of ecological surveys as well as habitat assessments and ecological impact assessments across a range of different sites.
- Ecological Report Writing: You will be responsible for producing high-quality, professional reports, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), and Protected Species Risk Assessments (PRAs).
- Data collection and analysis, ensuring that all surveys and assessments are accurate, comprehensive, and meet regulatory standards.
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience working within an ecological consultancy setting, demonstrating a good understanding of industry practices and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain principles and the use of the metric.
- Experience in conducting a wide range of species surveys.
