A leading UK-based environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Arboricultural Consultant to join their growing team near Derby, East Midlands. This is an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for professionals with BS 5837 tree survey experience who are ready to progress in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct BS 5837 tree surveys and produce detailed reports
  • Prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA) and Method Statements (AMS)
  • Liaise with developers, planners, architects, and local authorities
  • Attend site visits using company vehicles to gather accurate field data
  • Collaborate with ecologists, heritage consultants, and other specialists on large-scale projects

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent
  • Strong experience in BS 5837 tree survey and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills:

  • Membership of the Arboricultural Association or ICF
  • Experience with AutoCAD or GIS for tree constraints plans
  • Project management experience or mentoring junior arborists
