Stuart Michael Associates (SMA) is an established multidisciplinary consultancy delivering infrastructure, transportation and environmental projects for public and private-sector clients across the UK. They are looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join their growing team.

The Role

  • Working on a varied portfolio of transport and infrastructure projects
  • Providing transport planning advice to public and private-sector clients
  • Supporting the preparation of transport assessments, statements and related technical reports
  • Working collaboratively with engineers, planners and other technical professionals
  • Contributing to practical and innovative transport solutions
  • Developing client relationships and supporting project delivery

Requirements

  • Experience within transport planning or a relevant graduate-level background
  • A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline
  • Good understanding of transport planning principles and the UK planning process
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to develop professionally
  • CIHT/CILT membership or progression towards professional membership would be advantageous
