Salary: Β£27,000 - Β£32,000 + benefits

A specialist engineering consultancy is looking for an Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician to join their team in Oxford.

This is a hands-on opportunity suited to Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering graduates looking to build a career in ground and structural engineering.

The Role

You will work on a range of construction and infrastructure projects, installing and monitoring specialist instrumentation used to assess the performance and behaviour of foundations and structures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing fibre-optic sensors and monitoring equipment
  • Carrying out site-based inspections, measurements and data collection
  • Monitoring strain, movement, temperature and structural behaviour
  • Processing and interpreting monitoring data
  • Supporting engineers with technical assessments and reporting
  • Working closely with site teams, contractors and engineers
  • Travelling to project sites across the UK
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety

About You

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
  • Graduate or up to 2 years' relevant experience
  • Interested in practical, site-based engineering
  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sites
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence desirable
