Graduate Civil Engineer

A specialist engineering consultancy is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its growing team in Oxford, working on a range of geotechnical and foundation engineering projects.

This is a great opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to build their technical experience within a specialist environment. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to investigation, monitoring and foundation-related projects.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting geotechnical and foundation engineering projects
  • Assisting with site investigations and ground monitoring
  • Collecting and interpreting site data
  • Supporting the installation and monitoring of instrumentation
  • Assisting with foundation assessments and geotechnical analysis
  • Preparing technical reports and project documentation
  • Working with engineers and project teams to deliver projects
  • Visiting sites across the UK as required
  • Developing your technical knowledge through on-the-job training

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering subject
  • An interest in geotechnical engineering and foundations
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to travel to site when required
  • A proactive approach and genuine interest in developing a career in geotechnical engineering

Previous industry experience is not essential, although any university projects, placements or experience relating to geotechnics, foundations, structural monitoring or site investigation would be beneficial.
