We are looking for a technically minded and experienced professional who has a strong understanding of
Legionella risk assessment and cooling water systems , with particular experience working with cooling towers and evaporative cooling systems .
The Role
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive Legionella risk assessments across a range of commercial, industrial and public sector environments.
Your responsibilities will include
- Conducting detailed
Legionella risk assessments of domestic and commercial water systems.
- Assessing cooling towers and evaporative cooling systems and identifying potential Legionella risks.
- Producing clear, accurate and technically detailed risk assessment reports.
- Identifying non-compliances and providing practical recommendations for remedial action.
- Advising clients on Legionella control measures and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Reviewing existing control schemes and water management procedures.
- Working in accordance with relevant legislation, guidance and industry best practice.
- Liaising directly with clients and providing professional technical advice.
- Managing your workload effectively while travelling to client sites across the UK.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all assessments are completed to a high professional standard.
About You
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a
Legionella Risk Assessor , together with strong practical knowledge of water systems.
Essential
- Previous experience carrying out
Legionella risk assessments .
- Strong knowledge of
Legionella control and water hygiene .
Experience with cooling towers / evaporative cooling systems is essential.
- Good understanding of
ACOP L8 and HSG274 , particularly Part 1 relating to evaporative cooling systems.
- Ability to identify risks and provide clear, practical recommendations.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a field-based workload.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Relevant qualifications in Legionella risk assessment, water hygiene, water treatment or environmental health would be highly advantageous.
