An established and ambitious engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of a collaborative structural engineering environment, working on a diverse portfolio of large-scale commercial, industrial, retail and healthcare developments across the North of England and wider UK.
You'll take ownership of the infrastructure elements of exciting projects, with a particular focus on highway and drainage design, while working closely with structural engineers and other members of the wider design team.
The opportunity
You'll be involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of infrastructure schemes, including:
- Highway design incorporating Section 38 and Section 278 agreements
- Drainage design covering Section 106, 104 and 184
- Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports
- External works and drainage modelling
- Coordination of infrastructure designs with structural Revit models
- Client liaison and attendance at design team meetings
- Taking projects from initial design through to successful completion
A particularly exciting aspect of the role will be helping to develop and enhance the consultancy's 3D modelling capabilities, using Civil 3D / Site 3D to model drainage and external works and coordinate these with structural models.
What are they looking for in this Senior Infrastructure Engineer position?
The ideal candidate will be an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong consultancy background and the confidence to take ownership of projects. You'll ideally bring:
- At least 5 years' UK-based consultancy experience in a relevant infrastructure discipline
- A relevant Civil Engineering qualification, preferably to degree level
- Experience with Flow, InfoDrainage, PDS, Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of current technical standards and design requirements
- Experience preparing FRAs and Drainage Strategy Reports
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a design team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience dealing directly with clients and attending design meetings
- The ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
- CEng or IEng status would be advantageous
- A full UK driving licence
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
