Duties for the role of Architectural Assistant:
- Preparing architectural drawings, plans, elevations and supporting design documentation
- Assisting with the preparation of planning applications and associated submissions
- Supporting feasibility studies, site appraisals and initial design concepts
- Producing accurate drawings and visual materials using relevant CAD and design software
- Undertaking site visits, surveys and measurements where required
- Researching planning policies, site constraints and relevant building regulations
Requirements for the role of Architectural Assistant:
- A degree or relevant qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related discipline
- Experience working in an architectural practice or a relevant placement, although applications from promising graduates will also be considered
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, with knowledge of additional design or visualisation packages an advantage
- An understanding of architectural design principles, planning processes and technical drawing
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The confidence to work independently when required, while collaborating effectively with colleagues
- A genuine interest in rural architecture, sustainable development and the built environment
