About the team

Penguin Studios is at the heart of Penguin Random House Audio, where authors, producers and world-class acting talent come together to create some of the most exciting audiobooks on the market. Our team ensures every recording session runs seamlessly, and every audiobook leaves the studio sounding its absolute best. We are proud to make Penguin Studios the chosen home for storytellers, actors and production talent alike.

The role

Once the recording wraps, the magic of post-production begins - and that is where you come in. As Studio Executive, you will coordinate post-production for a share of our audiobook output, overseeing editing, proofing, mastering, and delivery alongside our Senior Sound Editor and Head of Production. You will process invoicing and payments for all Penguin Studios suppliers and freelancers, making sure everything runs efficiently behind the scenes. The role also plays a key part in the hospitality that defines Penguin Studios - ensuring every guest, reader and producer feels welcome and supported during their time with us.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate post-production for a portion of our audiobook output, including editing, proofing, mastering and delivery.
  • Own and manage the invoicing process for Penguin Studios, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Work with the Studio Manager to ensure producers and guests have an exemplary experience in the studios.
  • Put together production credit scripts, ensuring they are ready for each week's recording sessions.
  • Support the Studio Manager with production scheduling and coordination as needed.
  • Manage recording and delivery of credits for audiobook buy-ins and additional marketing content.
  • Take part in the studio open/close rota with the wider team.
  • Handle hospitality and logistics, including lunches, refreshments and book orders for guests and authors.

What you will bring:

  • You will be a natural multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • You will bring exceptional organisation and communication skills, attention to detail, and a calm, solutions-focused approach to whatever comes your way.
  • Curiosity about the audio landscape, including audiobooks, narration, performance, emerging formats and the world of publishing.
  • An enthusiasm for learning new systems, workflows and production processes.
  • An active listener of audiobooks or other long-form audio content.
  • Comfortable working with high-profile guests and colleagues across teams.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Quick-thinking and calm under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with diplomacy and professionalism in every interaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
