The team at Inklore is seeking an Assistant Editor to report to the Editor‑in‑Chief, handling a combination of editorial and administrative projects for the imprint’s growing list of licensed and original comics, light novels, and webnovels.
Responsibilities:
- Write catalog copy, cover copy, and title information sheets
- Produce scripts and presentation materials for seasonal launch meetings
- Transmit lettering manuscripts and review passes on final interior pages
- Evaluate submissions and assist with drafting acquisition materials
- Ideate potential new projects for publishing programs with major brands
- Submit materials to creators/licensing partners for approval
- Edit selected series alongside Editors and Senior Editors
- Assist with creator and licensor communications and requests
- Route contract information sheets upon acquisition of new titles
- Assist with profit and loss statements
- Assist with invoice and contract
