Overview

We are seeking a highly organised, experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team.

Working closely with the finance and operational teams, you will play a key role in month-end processes, maintaining financial trackers and monitoring budgets.

This is a permanent position and we are looking for someone to work 4 days (28 hours) per week and based at least 2 days per week from our Head Office in Notting Hill, the other two days may be worked from home.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end processes and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Maintain financial trackers and monitor budgets in partnership with the finance and operational teams.
  • Assist with day-to-day accounting activities and ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions.

Qualifications

  • Part-qualified or qualified by experience; ideally with experience in a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to apply them in practice.
  • Solid understanding of accounting systems and fundamentals (double-entry, accruals, prepayments, financial statements, posting journals).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Xero is advantageous.
