Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team.
Working closely with the finance and operational teams, you will play a key role in month-end processes, maintaining financial trackers and monitoring budgets.
This is a permanent position and we are looking for someone to work 4 days (28 hours) per week and based at least 2 days per week from our Head Office in Notting Hill, the other two days may be worked from home.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end processes and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Maintain financial trackers and monitor budgets in partnership with the finance and operational teams.
- Assist with day-to-day accounting activities and ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions.
Qualifications
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience; ideally with experience in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to apply them in practice.
- Solid understanding of accounting systems and fundamentals (double-entry, accruals, prepayments, financial statements, posting journals).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Experience with accounting systems such as Xero is advantageous.
