We're hiring a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join Pendulum Power and lead the technical delivery of grid-connected renewable, storage and HV projects across the UK. This is a fully remote role open to candidates living and working in the United Kingdom.
You'll work across solar, wind and battery energy storage projects, supporting developers, EPCs and asset owners to get connected and stay compliant.
- Carry out load flow, fault level, harmonic, stability and protection coordination studies using industry-standard tools (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, AutoCAD LT).
- Design and review HV/MV systems, substations and protection schemes for renewable and BESS projects up to 132 kV.
- Help shape our internal standards and templates.
Requirements:
- 3β5 years' post-graduate experience in power systems engineering, with a strong UK grid focus.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a closely related discipline.
- Deep working knowledge of UK Grid Code, Distribution Code, G99 and ENA Engineering Recommendations.
- Hands-on experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory and AutoCAD LT; ETAP a bonus.
- Proven track record delivering grid connection studies for renewables, storage or large industrial loads.
- Confident in protection & control design and HV substation engineering.
- Self-directed and comfortable working remotely; Fully remote working from anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel to client sites and team meet-ups.
