We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Pendulum Hotel & Manchester Conference Centre. This role is primarily focused on delivering high-quality food for our busy conference and events business, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellent presentation at all times. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, working closely with senior chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences for a wide range of events, from corporate meetings to large-scale conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Take responsibility for different sections within the kitchen
- Be able to work alone and be efficient with your time
- Support the delivery of conference and banqueting services
- Ensure all food is prepared in line with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
About You
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up
- Experience in conference, banqueting, or high-volume catering is highly desirable
- A passion for food and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
