The Role
We are seeking an experienced Rope Access Contracts Manager (IRATA L3) to lead and develop a team of up to 15 Rope Access technicians. Based in Rosewell, you will oversee projects nationwide, managing operations to ensure they are delivered safely, efficiently, and on budget.
You will take ownership of project delivery, team development, and client communication, fostering a positive health & safety culture and a supportive working environment. Reporting toSenior Contracts Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Rope Access projects from planning through to completion
Ensure all work adheres to IRATA, H&S, and industry regulations - Conduct risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and ensure Safe Systems of Work are in place
- Allocate resources effectively, including trained operatives and properly tested equipment
- Provide leadership, guidance, and ongoing development for the Rope Access team
- Maintain clear communication with clients, providing updates on progress and outcomes
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource usage
- Carry out site surveys, prepare quotations, and maintain accurate daybooks
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance and drive improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency and safety
What We’re Looking For
- IRATA Level 3 certified (minimum 2 years in a leadership/management role)
- Strong knowledge of Rope Access techniques, equipment, and safety practices
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator with proven team leadership experience
- Able to solve problems and make effective decisions under pressure
- Good numeracy, computer literacy, and report-writing skills
- Understanding of Building Regulations and British Standards
