Maintenance Controller
Basic salary £32,457 with pension, life assurance, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services.
Pendragon Vehicle Management is offering the right person a fantastic opportunity to join their Operations team as a Maintenance Controller.
This is a Hybrid role, based at our Head Office. The Head Office is currently based in Derby but will be moving to Annesley, Nottingham at the end of 2025.
Pendragon Vehicle Management is the Group’s growing car and van fleet management and leasing business. Our office premises are undergoing significant refurbishment to ensure our working environment is attractive to our people and customers alike. As part of Pendragon PLC, you will have exposure to the industry’s leading brands such as Porsche, JLR, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Stellantis etc and work alongside the largest independent operator of franchised motor dealerships in Europe. Our Maintenance team understands the importance of reducing repair costs and downtime to ensure drivers are back on the road as soon as possible.
With a good understanding of the motor trade, your expertise will allow us to ensure the integrity of repairs, reduce vehicle downtime by timely completion and control costs.
You’ll have the opportunity to be involved with:
- Ensuring proactive management of all service maintenance and repair events
- Manage costs associated towards Service, Maintenance & Repairs
- Manage and monitor our supplier breakdown portal to ensure any unplanned SMR events are captured and manage through to conclusion
- Ability to track trend types and make the right commercial decisions based on knowledge
- Constant chasing up of vehicles using 1link system & authorising work with set SLA’s
Do you have what it takes to be a PVM colleague? We’re looking for someone who is:
- Computer literate and able to communicate effectively between team members, customers and supplier
- A minimum of 5 Year Workshop Experience or up to level 2 NVQ/City & Guild Equivalent in Motor Vehicle Mechanics is desirable
- The ability to communicate with dealer/garages/suppliers with an understanding of the technical aspects of any repairs that are being carried out in order to manage them efficiently
