As a Vehicle Technician Apprentice, you will combine hands-on experience in our dealerships with structured training and the support of an experienced mentor. You will work towards achieving an IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance, setting you up to become a fully qualified Vehicle Technician.
You do not need previous experience in the automotive industry to apply. We do not expect you to know everything already; that is what the apprenticeship is for. If you are curious, motivated, and willing to learn, we will give you the training, support, and mentoring you need to succeed and build a long-term career as a Vehicle Technician.
What will you be doing every day as an Apprentice Vehicle Technician?
- Learning to service vehicles, checking and maintaining them following clear instructions
- Learning to diagnose, repair, and replace vehicle parts and components
- Carrying out vehicle checks and inspections
- Producing time estimates for repairs and maintenance to vehicles
- Maintaining repair and service records on the in-house computer system and for customers
A genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry, a willingness to learn and follow instructions, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a keen eye for detail are essential. A grade C or Grade 4 in English, Maths, and Science is required.
