Remote Role
Salary of up to £35,000 with pension, critical illness pay, life assurance, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services.
Working within our IT team, you will support and manage Information Security systems, respond to security incidents, and provide analysis and reporting on asset security, access policies, data classification, and vulnerability management. This role requires self-management and effective collaboration with other teams, often working autonomously with minimal supervision.
You’ll have the opportunity to be involved with:
- Actively respond to Information Security Alerts, providing initial analysis, risk categorisation, and mitigation actions.
- Collaborate with internal and external support resources to troubleshoot and resolve Information Security issues, and participate in escalation and reporting procedures.
- Research, evaluate, and develop solutions to security risks and vulnerabilities, contributing to root cause analysis and continuous process improvement.
- Collect and analyse data for Security Assessments, risk analysis, and technology environment evaluations.
- Collaborate with SIEM resources to ensure security systems are maintained, monitored, and incidents are responded to according to procedures.
- Participate in tasks related to vulnerability management, configuration compliance, firewall rules, email security, and system log reviews.
Do you have what it takes to be a Pendragon Associate? We’re looking for someone who is:
- 3+ years of relevant IT experience, with strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to be resourceful and flexible in dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of security hardening, configuration, deployment, and administration of various operating systems, databases, and networks.
Desirable: relevant technical degree and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or similar. Experience with IDS / IPS, NextGen firewalls, VPN, DLP, data encryption, SIEM, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, Windows / Linux security, and security frameworks like ISO27001 / 27002, HIPAA, PCI, FISMA, ITIL, and COBIT.
