We are currently looking to recruit Waste Collection Operatives to deliver our new food waste collection service which commences early in 2026. This is a brand new collection scheme, and we are looking for staff who will assist us in ensuring its success. We are keen to meet people who are looking for a new challenge and who are motivated to deliver their best.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the new food waste collection service starting early 2026.
- Assist in ensuring the success of the collection scheme.
- Cover other activities such as mechanical street cleansing.
- Participate in existing domestic and commercial waste and recycling collections if needed.
Requirements
- Physically capable of bending, lifting, carrying, and walking at a fast pace.
- Task-focused and flexible attitude to work.
- Willingness to work overtime at short notice.
Hours & Location
Hours of work are 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (with an earlier finish on Friday). Overtime will be available on occasions. Pendle is in Lancashire’s scenic Pennines, close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Manchester.
