We are currently looking to recruit a Waste Collection Operative to deliver our new food waste collection service, which commences in April 2025. This brand-new collection scheme requires someone who will assist us in ensuring its success. We are keen to meet people who are looking for a new challenge and who are motivated to deliver their best.

Applicants will also be expected to cover other activities such as mechanical street cleansing, and our existing domestic and commercial waste and recycling collections if needed. It is essential you are physically capable of bending, lifting, carrying, and walking at a fast pace. A task-focused, flexible attitude to work and willingness to work overtime on short notice are also essential.

Hours of work are 7.30am – 3.30pm (with an earlier finish on Friday). Overtime will be available on occasions.

Pendle is in Lancashire’s scenic Pennines, close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Manchester.
